Israeli forces preparing for a raid in the West Bank |
The Israeli army has broken into a Palestinian activist's home, shooting him dead in the town of Qabatiya in the northern West Bank.
According to the Palestinian security services, the 21-year-old Ala Abu Al-Rub, a member of Islamic Jihad's armed wing the al-Quds Brigades, was killed early Thursday.
The victim's brother said Israeli troops barged into their home and shot Abu Al-Rub, while he was sitting at a computer.
On Tuesday, the Israeli military arrested twelve Palestinians from the West Bank cities of Bethlehem, Jenin, al-Khalil, and Nablus.
Despite launching an all-out aggression on the densely-populated Gaza Strip, Tel Aviv did not halt the cross-border overnight raids into the West Bank aimed at assassinating or kidnapping Palestinians in the area.
