A new poll indicates that the majority of Americans disapprove of outgoing US President George W. Bush conduct in the white House.
With only three days left before the end of his term, a New York Times/CBS News poll released on Friday found 73% of Americans disapprove of President Bush's conduct.
Only 22% of the surveyed individuals approved of his 8-year performance in the White House.
When asked to assess the Bush presidency more precisely, a mere 17% rated it very good or good while 83% considered it to have been average or poor.
Some 71% of the respondents disapproved of President Bush's management of the war in Iraq and 77% criticized his handling of the US economy.
The poll also put the popularity rating of Vice President Dick Cheney at 13%, the lowest in his time in office.
The most unpopular president in US history, whose term ends on January 20, will leave behind a legacy of two costly wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and a financial crisis for his successor Barack Obama.
