An Iranian ship carrying aid for the people of Gaza has not yet received permission to unload its cargo despite a ceasefire being in place.
In a telephone conversation with Press TV, Captain of the Iranian ship Goudarz Ghaleh-Golab said the ceasefire had not prompted Egyptian authorities to issue permission for docking at a Gaza port.
The Shahed ship carries some 2,000 tons of medicine and food supplies as well as a medical team.
The ship, which is carrying out its mission under the supervision of the Red Cross, has received warnings from Israeli gunboats not to approach the shore of Gaza.
"We are ready to go on with our mission. If we receive the necessary paper work we will dock at a Gaza port promptly," said Captain Ghaleh-Golab.
