The Israeli army has launched an air strike on the Gaza Strip, leaving two Palestinian fighters killed, Palestinian sources say.
The attack came Thursday morning on the central Gaza Strip. The two victims were members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an offshoot of the Fatah movement, Reuters reported citing Palestinian sources.
The Israeli military, however, declined to confirm the attack.
An army spokeswoman said she was checking the report although she was not aware of any military activity in the central Gaza Strip, close to the border fence with Israel.
