Malaysia practices a Federation system of government, where the 9 Malay states under the Sultan (Malay rulers) and 4 states under the Governors plus Federal Territories formed the Federation of Malaysia. The Federation or the Central government is however increasingly and menacingly increasing the concentration of power.
