“We are not happy with the current economic pressures on the European or American people but we welcome the end of the false and anti-human idea of Capitalism,” President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told IRIB Channel One on Tuesday.
President Ahmadinejad underlined that the current economic crisis was a probable ramification of the Capitalism and that all western thinkers have admitted that the Capitalism has reached a dead end.
“Followers of Capitalism seek to move their deficits to other countries and try to dictate their ideas,” President Ahmadinejad said, adding that “The crisis-hit countries are intended to move their inflations to some target states and plunder their assets.”
Pointing to the fact that America was in economic recession even before the invasion of Iraq, President Ahmadinejad said that America invaded Iraq to activate its economy but they failed to reach their goal and the world lost confidence in them.
Regarding the effects of the current crisis on IRI’s economy, the President said,” Our trade volume with the world economy is not much high and therefore the effect is nearly zero. The oil prices may put a low pressure on us but we are able to manage it.”
He added that the West-imposed sanctions helped IRI not to be heavily hit by the crisis. “We also adopted special policies which were passed to counter these sanctions.”
“The approach of the Islamic Republic towards self-sufficiency and internal talents are the strong points of the country’s economy,” the President said.
